Una razón superficial

11/11/2015 - 05/12/2015

Solo show – Sandra Nakamura

From: November 11th. Until: December 5th, 2015.

Artist Sandra Nakamura present Una Razón Superficial (A superficial reason) an exhibition that assembles a series of works, in diverse formats, that approach the idea of surface as simulacrum as well as appearance, exercise and image. There’s an allusion to the horizon line –also to the water surface- as a point of unstable reference and from which the paradigm of the perception becomes evident.

In the last 10 years, Nakamura´s practice has focused on the observation of processes involving the use of urban space and materials as merchandise, as well as public repository of memory and identity. These processes are referred from a poetic perspective to address spatial, social and economic conditions governing the transformation of our environment.
